This is regarding bed bugs in the bedding provided on a Mysore bound train, MV -MYS Express on the 9th and 13th of November. I traveled in both the trains in the 2 tier AC coach with my family. I alerted the TTE on duty Alexander, coach attendant, and the AC Electrical staff. They understand the problem but say they can’t do anything about it.
Mr. Alexander called the control room and informed them about it. My family was awake the whole night. In fact my 8 year old son was not able to attend his exam because he was up the whole night. Will the railway administration act? Fares are sky rocketing for AC passengers and their blood is being sucked by bed bugs!!!!
Recently i traveled from Chennai to New Delhi by Grand Trunk express in 1 AC compartment, there were these blood sucking insects in the blankets and sheets provided.
Bed Bugs in the linen, cockroaches in the cabin crevices, rats all around and other pests in the coaches is a menace!
It's no surprise that the rail staff raise their hands! That's how our not only public but also the private public services function! People have no alternative but keep traveling by the same pest infested facilities.
It's unlikely for us to have responsive customer service staff but our value system and lack of concern for the others doesn't enable the things to be changed. The ministers, rail board members, and others in senior administration have no concern for the public! They can and will talk but not act!
