You expect, at the very least, to have garbage picked up by four- wheeled "saviours". But if you're aware of BBMP's reputation in the city today, you're sure it stays there. But the bigger truth is that cities like Bangalore are thriving towards cleanliness and hygiene through manual help - Manual Scavenging.This man here is segregating wastes in gunny sacks. The video was taken at 12:15 pm at Chikkalakshmaiah Layout. The garbage heap serves odour service to a bakery, a general store,a juice shop and 5 residential apartments, not to mention, it also decorates the path taken by Christ University students back and forth everyday. God bless the health of this man.
